Studying Her Birthday

January 27: The Day of Precocity

January Twenty-Seventh is part of the Aquarius I period and in a symbolic view of the life cycle the day would be would be 6-8 degrees Aquarius in a 360 degree circle of life. Now, divide that circle into four quadrants and have them represent the four seasons. January Twenty-Seventh would fall in the season of Winter, the Fourth Quadrant of life. Winter is traditionally the period in which old life sleeps and enters metamorphosis. Results of the metamorphosis eventually become visually apparent in the spring.

This day represents the time of life when a human is around sixty-three to eighty-four, the period when a human is at late middle age to death. Thus, the Winter Quatrant "evidences many of the same aspects iof stillness, interiorization of experience and a quieting of instinctual demands that characterize nature's winter."

Those born in the wintertime "are more concerned with the larger picture." Though often reserved, they can manifest great excitement through their thoughts, ideas and work. When well applied, wintertime people can bring their active imaginations and fantasies to life. Their loyalties lie not so much to society or their own interests, but to "the world of ideas". They "are less concerned with the state of the world as it is now and more with how it could and should be."

Adding in the January Twenty-Seventh aspect many of those born on such a day can "often manifest their talents at an early age." They are "usually highly concerned with what is new and keeping young themselves".

"Speed" would be a good word to describe January Twenty-Seventh Aquarians. With premature development and a psychological predisposition to make speedy decisions, they can be overwhelmed by their affairs be it projects developing too quickly, ideas manifesting too suddenly, financials expending too precipitously to relationships being pushed too quickly. In turn they need to learn patience and discrimination. "Cultivating a realistic outlook toward life is essential for them if they wish to be successful in the world."

January Twenty-Seventh people can be childlike and often must satisfy this nature. When emotional they can appear "overenthusiastic, juvenile, childish or even infantile." Maturing experiences present them challenges as well as opportunities for growth - an important part of their development particularly to avoid ambitions of being a child eternally. While retaining childhood spirit is fine, trying to stay one by one's middle age or older has its repercussions.

"It is not uncommon that January 27 people undergo maturity crises at ages of twenty-eight, thirty-six or forty-two, when they are faced by stark choices as to whether they wish to fully accept adult responsibilities or not." Their decisions cannot be forced by others, however. Often those born on this day need to eventually realize that staying young doesn't mean one must avoid maturing or gaining strength of character.
