When Haruka and Michiru arrive in front of Hotaru's house in this episode Sailor Moon's group has teleported inside to save Chibiusa and Hotaru. There, Setsuna has been waiting for them and fills them in about the Tomoe residence being trapped in an alternate dimension and in the worst scenario, Sailor Moon and company might not make it back out in time. Haruka comments, "It would be better if they just didn't come back." Michiru shows her disapproval. Haruka explains that she thinks it would be better if Hotaru's dangerous presence was gone from their world.
When Hotaru is saved and returns with the sailor soldiers, Setsuna comments almost mischievously, "It was too bad, Haruka." Michiru says knowingly, "Setsuna, Haruka believes in Sailor Moon more than either of us." Haruka looks away, replying, "Whoever said that?" Despite her words, Haruka doesn't look peeved. Instead she seems more relieved.
As said, believe in Michiru's words when it comes to Haruka and know that when Haruka acts like a cold-hearted bitch, it is really just her falling into a screwed up tendency to make people see her opposite to how she really is. I think the latter is still proof of her being slightly masochistic with herself – "hate me, I prefer it that way" sort of attitude.
