The following are gods and goddesses that rule over, personify or deal with night.

☽¤☾ Polunochnaya - Slavic - She is one of the Zorya trinity (the Auroras) with Utrennyaya and Vechernyaya. She represents the Midnight Star. Some legends omit her and leave only the first two Guardians. When the sun returns home, it dies in her arms. Then it is restored to life. She is a goddess of death, rebirth, magic, mysticism, and wisdom.

☽¤☾ Te - Po - Polynesian personification of the primordial night being which existed in the chaos prior to light.

☽¤☾ Tezcatlipoca - Aztec/Nahuatl - A god of summer, war and power, he is identified with the night sky, the moon, and the stars, and associated with the forces of evil and destruction.

☽¤☾ Vechernyaya - Slavic - She is one of the Zorya trinity (the Auroras) with Utrennyaya and Polunochnaya. She represents the Evening star and closes the gates of heaven each night as the sun returns home. It is said the Zorya watch over is the doomseday hound that will eat the constellation Ursa Minor if let loose. Should that happen the universe shall end.
